Rumford-Mexico Sewerage District Superintendent

ANNOUNCEMENT January 8, 2026  

Effective immediately, Matthew Desroches is promoted to Superintendent of the Rumford-Mexico Sewerage District (RMSD) with full oversite of the District and personnel.  I want to take this opportunity to congratulate him on this promotion and to thank him for the outstanding work he did as Assistant Superintendent.  I will continue to provide support and guidance to Matt as needed.  Please join me in congratulating Matthew on his new role! 

I will be staying on as the General Manager focusing specifically on the ongoing capital upgrade work begun in 2019 with Superintendent Desroches reporting directly to me.  My efforts will focus as the Point Of Contact for the ongoing capital project and District finances. 

Please contact Superintendent Desroches for anything related to the day-to-day operation and maintenance of RMSD.  Matthews current email is Operator2@rmsewer.com, but will change to MattD@rmsewer.com effective February 1, 2026.
